Re: SBS with Windows 8 (Beta)

Yes it works fine with Win8 CP, so does MySQL, Flight Display, Srv30003, acarsd, PlaneFinder and FR24 uploaders, ADSMySQL, Posfix and PlanePlotter. It is now my main OS and can't wait until the production copies come out.

Windows 8 & Basestation

Happy to report that Windows 8 (Consumer Preview) and Basestation v161 seem to cohabitate nicely together and that is using ethernet across a wireless connection.

It's not there as at 0800 UTC Friday 30th Dec.

What will 164 bring SBS-1er users, anything beneficial? Perhaps ES data such as Mach, Wind, IAS, TAS, Cleared Level etc?

SBS-1er Data

Having recently explored the use of my SBS-1er with Globe-S display software I noted some additional data available which I guess comes from the recently introduced raw data output and includes the cleared flight level, aircraft altimeter setting, True Air Speed, Indicated Air Speed and the wind spe...

Re: Enhancement request: range

I would like second that motion, it seems such a logical inclusion. Everyone wants to know their ranges whether it's on single aircraft or maximum in session or ever. SQL can do the work, so it's just small bit code and maybe a couple additional db entries.

Re: Time for a true "Raw Data" output from SBS-1 ?

So with a display like the one posted, can you show another with Mode-S, Mode A/C and ADS-B targets all located using the Xxxxx in combo with PlanePlotter?

Re: Flight Display CSV Import Syntax

Hi Allan, SBSshotUploader 2 is an application to take a screenshot of Basestation display and ftp it to a website. You can get it from http://www.airlomba.net/index.php?pag=projects&projpg=screenupld , it's Portuguese but Google Chrome will offer to translate :) . Having played with FD for a while I...

Re: Flight Display CSV Import Syntax

Michael, sorry for the delay in replying FD uses different approachs to displaying the route depending on the mode its operating in - I can't tell from the screenshots what you are using with FD to display the routes, is it PlanePlotter or Basestation? You also mentioned FD crashing when trying to ...

Re: Interesting Phenomenon

Is it possible that it was already present in the Aircraft List at that point ? Just a theory - without knowing what your timeouts are I can't be any more definite than that. David, I think your theory may have something to do with it, my timeouts are 60, 120, 120 and 32400 so the last setting is a...

Interesting Phenomenon

I have noticed quite a few times since using Basestation and SBS-1er that on initial contact with a flight Basestation shows the aircrafts last known flight details including altitude, squawk and callsign. Just now I received an alert on a flight from Rotorua to Sydney which I had set up a few days ...

Re: Flight Display CSV Import Syntax

Eventually gave up on the import process within FD and instead created and imported a new table in the FD database using SQLite Database Browser, changed the name of the tables and finally got my data in there. However having watched what happens when a new flight appears and the route displays I th...

Re: Flight Display CSV Import Syntax

I created one with just four rows in it and FD crashed on import! I've flagged the idea until someone can advise me of the correct way to do it rather than speculating and getting nowhere. Thanks for the help anyway.
