Re: Is BaseStation Development Dead ??

I still have my SBS3 running 24/7 on a dedicated PC and Active Display to augment it. The only "mod" I have made to the system was to secure the aerial as the ex hurricane passed by as I wasn't convinced it would stand up to 80mph winds. :) Cureently watching a Bristow S92 flying in circles just nor...

Re: Is BaseStation Development Dead ??

Kinetic have not released any information about development for some years. Upgrades are still coming out but without any advance publicity.

Re: Gatwick Aviation Society?

I tried it just now and got in without any request for a password.

Having said that some of their flag links are dead and I'll get them to fix the Isle of Man one..

Re: Showing flight route details on SBS1-3/Puck

I played with writing our own data into the reference.sqb file but, unfortunately, the Routes table won't accept data from the Insert command. :(

Just amongst ourselves. :)

Kinetic never pre announce any software releases so we never know if an update is in the pipeline. :(

Re: Ronaldsway Airport June 2016

The DAT ATR's are operated by Stobart Air so I assume it will have flown one of the Aer Lingus routes. Flybe use Aer Arran ATR's just to confuse matters. :)

My link is http://www.airliners.net/search/photo search?regsearch=|&distinct_entry=true

Having said that Link 2 is to Jetphotos and Link 3 to Planepictures so it could be pulling photos from those sites.

Re: Ronaldsway Airport June 2016

We get the Irish Air Corp here a lot and, for some odd reason, French Xingu's and Transall's. Maybe they like our kippers. :)

The ATP's are West Air, Sweden, which come for maintenance. I assume those outside are being cannibalised.

Re: Changing the Aircraft Details popup window

Thanks Roger. Sadly their http://www.airliners.net/random.inc code no longer works either. I used that on my pages to display a random picture from the library each time the page loaded. :(

Re: Silhouettes

Yes, that is what I do too. Place the bitmaps in the OperatorFlag folder. I use the ICAO designator for each aircraft but that isn't essential - you can use any system you prefer. Add the code you use to the ICAODesignator field for the aircraft and the aircraft bitmap will show in BS and in AD if y...

Re: SBS Aircraft List Display

Aircraft List Configurator Moving or changing data columns in the Aircraft List is a difficult procedure involving rather painful editing of the INI file. BS Aircraft List Configurer (BS ALC) allows you to change the Aircraft List order by simply dragging the columns into the order you want. BS ALC...

Re: Incorrect flight levels

This is a topic that has been aired from time to time in the hope that Kinetic might add a conversion from Flight Level to local pressure for aircraft in the approach phase of flight. The problem is that aircraft send height data relative to Standard Pressure of 1013.25mb. They don't send the readin...

Re: Error message

It could be a corrupt SQB file and that is annoying if you have a lot of data in it. It depends how important this is for you. If you move the SQB to a temp folder and restart Basestation it should automatically create a new, empty SQB and Basestation should run. It would mean building up your data ...
