Re: First squawks not being logged in reporter.

For various reasons, v.155 is still the best one for me :)

Keith,

Set Delete and Remove to something like 300 and I am sure it will cure your problem.

Re: Laptop shuts down after base station starts to run

What are your timeout settings?

Settings>>Data settings >> :
Position Lost ?
Signal Lost ?
Remove ?
Delete ?

Setting high values for Delete can really make a problem with slow PCs.

Re: SBS Screen refresh rate change

Hi Dave,

Go to basestation.ini and change

[DrawingSettings]
RadarScreenUpdateRate=1 to 2 or more.

CPU usage also depends on trail lenghts and delete value (timeouts)

Re: Lack of displayed Altitude

Hi Barry, C130's, C160's, C17's and other non ADS-B transponders don’t broadcast their altitude automatically. They need to be interrogated by a mode-s ground radar to show its altitude and squawk. Looks like there is no operational ground radar close to you. 4000-5000 ft would indicate that the nea...

Re: Altitude in SBS Basestation Reporter

Hi Paul, OK. I think I have figured out why you have first squawk 50% populated with high timeouts for latest BaseStation. Example from here BS V155 and V159 running together. BS V159 (improved squawk an callsign handling :( ) Delete, remove set to 999999999 Reading with BSReporter after closing Bas...

Paulm wrote:With the latest software/firmware I have been able to alter the number of First Squawk's from nearly all 0's to about 50% populated by adjusting the timeouts.
This was something that I did not pursue so I dont know which timeout setting affects the Squawks.
And what are your time-out settings now?

Re: SBS-1 classic stopped working

For the records and archive: U15 LT1086CM replaced U15 output was providing only 2.2V instead of 3.3V and therefore the entire digital part did not start at all but remained in reset state, which is all LEDs on Replaced by LT1086-3.3 fixed voltage bridged R63 3.9k and removed R47 2.4k, which define...

Re: SBS-1 classic stopped working

The other day (someone else had a similar problem) I asked Chris at Kinetic what all six lights but no blue meant and his reply was: "Firmware crashed would be my guess" Did you managed to load firmware to that box? Have you tried reloading the firmware using SBS-fs? Yes, we used SBS-fs with antenn...

Re: SBS-1 classic stopped working

Thanks Mark,
We have tried many things: different USB leads, different PCs etc. but no luck.
The fact that there are no blue LEDs and all 6 from the left are lit all the time indicates that the problem is inside SBS-1.
