Re: Is BaseStation Development Dead ??

....and there's me thinking of coming back to the product Allan, I hope that the lack of development doesn't put you off from returning. I bought my SBS-1 'Classic' over 11 years ago and the system still does everything I expected of it then & more besides, it still rates as the best £500 I've ...

Re: Showing flight route details on SBS1-3/Puck

I played with writing our own data into the reference.sqb file but, unfortunately, the Routes table won't accept data from the Insert command. :( If you have a block of routes to add you could always collate the data as a csv file & use the 'Append' command from within the AD menu to add it to ...

Re: Error message

I'm not sure I can offer anything much beyond Bones' suggestion, other than moving the Basestation.ini file to a temp' file as well. Basestation will then create a new .ini file in the same way as the .sqb file, although you will lose any personalised settings you have made. The error is suggestive ...

Re: Unable to stay logged in to Kinetic Forum

Same here. I've always used the other address but during last week it just generated a '404' error message, I switched to the 'Kinetic.co.uk/forums' version yesterday but I too found it won't retain log-in details. That said, I'm just glad to be able to access the group again, re-entering my log-in ...

Re: Abandoned forum or just broken?

I had the same experience as Roger as well, locked out for a couple of weeks (it seemed longer !) then, last weekend, I was able to log-in again as normal.

Re: Current user of US Mil hex code AE084A

My records mirror those of Bones, AE0842 from 0713 to 0759 but no record of AE084A at all.

Re: Info required 19/01 & 15/01 - Winsford

Sorry, can't help with the IDs. The Lynx pair passed close to me, just south of Crewe, around that time but I had no mode-S contacts from them & they were a bit too far away for a visual check. A post on the Fighter Control forum records 2 Navy Lynx landing at Warton around 1035 but, again, no I...

Re: Chinooks - Winsford 18/11

I don't have any Chinooks around tonight, but here, just outside Crewe, I was directly overflown by 2 large helos' at very low level (600ft) on a 140 degree heading at around that time. SBS & PP identified them as Apaches ZJ174 & ZJ170, callsigns Vanquish 1 & Vanquish 2 respectively. Fro...

The Mode-S group gives this as a miscoded 738C05 (4X-ICB).

Re: Countries.dat file MASTER - discussion thread

Bones/SabreJV, Many thanks for your views on this, I suppose it's just something Active Display users will have to live with pending any further development that may take place. It just seems a shame that all of the hard work (which is much appreciated by the way !) that goes into the enhanced Maste...

Re: Countries.dat file MASTER - discussion thread

SabreJV Many thanks for your response and no apologies are necessary for the lack of updates to the CDF, in fact the point I am making is (I think !) that all of the excellent work you, Bones & others put into this enhancement is rendered pointless if running Autopopulate in Active Dispaly. From...

Re: Countries.dat file MASTER - discussion thread

Can anyone confirm that updating the Countries.dat file (CDF) is superfluous if one is running Active Display to populate new records as they are received ? I ask this question as, yesterday, I received a Guernsey registered aircraft (2-HIGH) which, despite having a suitable entry in the CDF and a b...

Re: 401071

Roger, It has appeared in my Basestation Reporter records 4 times since 17 June this year, when it started using RVR callsigns, but it sends only Altitude & squawk data. I still had it as G-BHBZ by the way as the Data Currency checker in Active Display hasn't caught up with the new reg' yet, so ...
