For back up do i now have to save the Kinetic's folder in programs and the sqb file from within the virtual folder or the whole of the virtual folder?

You will also need any INI files from the Virtual Store.

John

You have not enabled Vista to show file extensions for all files so it makes the Basestation.ini file appear just as Basestation 'configuration settings'.

Hi

From the window you have posted here you may also find it
helpful to drop down "views" and select---"details"

you may then need to slide the columns to the right to be able to read everything in each column

that makes it easier to find correct files

cheers

Hi Danmadole,
First click right click on your desktop screen. Then go to property and select setting option their. After that their is on combo box with 32 bit and 64 bit properties. After that you select.

How do I start all over with installing this program ?
What version should I go with , when having a Vista laptop and the very first SBS Basesation box ? Have tried the 1.1.1.130 but with too many errors in the start up process

Help needed
Thanks

The differences between 1.1.1.130 and 1.1.1.14 are of no consequence to the original SBS-1. If you are getting installation errors the problem is elsewhere.

Are you using the CD or the download from the Kinetic site? I'm wondering if the one you are using is corrupt..

Hi Folks,

Please be gentle! I have been trying to install Basestation/SBS Resourses etc.... onto my 64 bit Vista laptop all weekend. All I am getting is messages about "cannot find files" and "Unhandled exception errors"

Could someone point me to an idiots guide as to how to get this all to work. I am at my wits end on this one.

I turned off the User control thingy but made no difference.

I installed my BaseStation in C:\Tools (it doesn't matter what you call it) and it runs fine from there both in Vista and Win 7.

Usually this can be overcome by copying the dll to the Basestation folder.
