Strange Problem with R-1500

Strange Problem with R-1500

Postby mw1mdh » December 14th, 2009, 10:55 pm

Hi all

I'm hoping I'm not the only one having this problem!

I've got an Icom R-1500 receiver attached to my PC, and obviously controlled via the SBS

However, when I close BS, this causes my PC to reset itself!..no warning, nothing...its like hitting the reset button!

I've not started looking at system logs, or anything else just yet, but somebody did suggest that it could be the drivers?..I've got all the latest drivers and software from the Icom site..I'm not ruling out my PC (home-brew AthlonXP, 2GB RAM, XP Pro SP3)...at least not just yet.

Could be a few things

Please download http://www.kinetic.co.uk/downloads/Base ... -3-146.zip which is the latest version of Basestation then unzip and run.

When prompted select Repair and that should ensure Basestation is OK.

If it still happens try basestation with the R1500 disconected and let me know

Cheers Chris...I'll give that a go over the next few days and get back to you!...ironically it's been on most of the day with the 1500, and it shutdown OK!
