The Airborne Velocity squitters that SBS-1 receives almost invariably denote ground speed. A few exceptions (some B772s, for example) do send true airspeed (TAS) instead of, or as well as, groundspeed - I don't know how BaseStation handles that, you would need to ask Kinetic.cabrette wrote:on the datas transmitted by SBS1, is the ground speed the speed on air of the plane or the speed vector on ground.I think that is the speed on air
AirNav's RadarBox does display TAS as well as GS, but confusingly it labels it IAS (Indicated Air Speed).
