Re: Puck update
Yes - very annoying to see certain topics ignored for weeks - especially when there are people interested in buying the product.

Re: Puck update
The first production batch of Kinetic Avionics 1090 Pucks have now been signed off by the factory and arrive with me Monday morning.
If you have one on order expect delivery early next week (Outside UK may be a little longer subject to local post)
These Pucks are selling very fast please order now to save disappointment for Christmas

Re: Puck update
The puck arrived this afternoon
Plugged into the tower PC (which all ready had BS installed), and worked straight out of the box. Not had time to do a full comparison yet (for obvious reasons), but as I will be using mine mostly mobile, will have a much better idea after the weekend.

Re: Puck update
Collected mine yesterday
Cost Chris lunch but it was good to catch up with the old bugger and I have to say Elstree Cafe is good
The verdict is the PUCK is as good as the SBS-3 and definitely receives more than my SBS-1e
I just copied the Basestation exe from the CD and it works with my current set up
Best of all it pops in my pocket no problem very inconspicuous
Basically a new improved SBS-1 fraction of the size with better performance

Re: Puck update
Got my on Friday and took it to Heathrow yesterday. I must have been the first person to do so as it attracted some interest with some people now going to buy it. I think Chris owes me either lunch or some beers
.
Excellent piece of kit and easier to carry (although I was in my car).
Well done all now to save up for the SDR one now.

Re: Puck update
Used mine at Liverpool airport at the weekend and generated similar interest.
From initial comparison with my trusty old 1er, I am getting more contacts at the same range as the 1er on the puck, just at a significantly lower altitude!
Very impressed so far

Re: Puck update
A bit of user feed back
Out of interest on the old SBS 1 I can pick up 36 aircraft and on the Puck I can pick up 59 aircraft (with the same supplied aerial)
